Our Company Mission
Our mission is to provide unparalleled healthcare and fitness to clients while delivering optimal results. We treat patients and train clients 1-on-1 in our facilities and in their homes. We currently provide our services throughout Atlanta, Georgia and Brooklyn, New York. When appropriate, we also leverage technology to provide options for telehealth (online) physical therapy and fitness as an added bonus for select situations.

Dr. Clifford Civil is the founder of Civil Physical Therapy where he currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer. He has several years of extensive experience treating patients in private clinics with various orthopedic and sports-related injuries. In addition, Dr. Civil has years of experience providing physical therapy for patients in their homes. He’s also experienced with fitness and wellness training. His educational degrees in Exercise Physiology and Physical Therapy along with his years of experience, both contribute to effective tailor-made programs to help clients achieve goals while mitigating injury risk.
He founded Civil Physical Therapy in 2017 with inspiration to create a better healthcare delivery model that’s convenient, attentive, effective, and safe. In addition to treating patients, he enjoys learning new skills, traveling and exploring new places/cultures, team-building with his colleagues, and staying active by regularly exercising and playing basketball.
Dr. Civil is a New Yorker at heart and of mind. He was born in Brooklyn, and is an alumnus of SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn where he obtained his doctorate degree in Physical Therapy. He is also an alumnus of Georgia State University in Atlanta where he obtained his undergraduate degree in Exercise Physiology. Dr. Civil loves the diverse and unique communities of both Brooklyn and Atlanta and is passionate about helping others.

Mrs. Maribel Colomé Civil is a co-founder of Civil Physical Therapy where she currently serves as an administrator, patient liaison, and a social worker for our company, Civil PT. Her various roles include but are not limited to: patient advocacy, community outreach, ancillary services and customer support. She helps get patients what they want and need!
She obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Since completing her education, she has worked as a social worker in forensic, adult education, and crisis intervention settings. Maribel is a Los Angeles native who moved to Brooklyn, NY to serve as an advocate to support marginalized groups improve their quality of life. Her work in social services thus far has been challenging, but all the more rewarding and fulfilling. Mrs. Civil dedicates her free time to fitness training, performing self-care, cooking, wellness training, traveling, and painting.
